add to cart
If you have accomplished the task on my previous blog, congratulations! It maybe not easy to let go of some things that used to be part of our daily life. Some of you may have read the ingredients of the packed food in your kitchen and was surprised to see that most of them was loaded with preservatives, MSG, Aspartame, and artificial flavorings and colorings. But don't worry its not too late for change.
As promised, I will give some pointers about what to consider during your trip to the grocery. This list will definitely help you on our goal to create the most appropriate and sustainable diet plan for you. For the first 2 weeks, our goal is to TRIM the belly fat first (sounds good?). Thats why starting right is very important. These are the must-have items that should be on your cart.
Chicken breast (de-boned, without skin)
Eggs(dozen)
Tuna/Salmon (alternative (if your budget is really tight): Sardines, canned tuna, or any fish for that matter)
Cashew nut butter (alternative: Peanut butter (check the label ingriedents should only be peanuts, vegetable oil (preferably sunflower oil,Canola)may have some sugar and some salt... no more)
Toasted Cashew nuts (unsalted), Toasted almond nuts
Ground black pepper
Ground cayenne pepper
Sea salt
Cinnamon
Garlic
Onion
Turmeric
Brocolli
Green and Red Bell Pepper
Tomatoes
Moringa leaves (ano daw? Malunggay!)
Spinach
Ampalaya
Asparagus
Lemon
Green Tea
Milk (Skim milk is preferred, I only drink Soy milk because im Lactose intolerant)
If you a have budget, i really encourage you to buy locally grown ORGANIC products. I understand that it maybe more expensive. But if you come to think of it, it is partially our fault that Organic products are more costly. Why? because there is a low demand. Because there is a low demand, they have to produce less with higher prices to get profit. Supporting Organic products will help our Organic farmers and eventually prices will go down.
And i just thought, it also the government's responsiblity to educate people and promote Organic. If im in the position, I will give tax exemptions to all organic farmers.
